Shadowvine twitched his tail irritably as he padded through the Cave of Stars and into the Moonfall. Silverpelt glittered on the rushing water. The dark-pelted medicine cat was becoming impatient. Where were the others? He opened his mouth to let scents in, but all he could small was the stone and water. He sat down, prepared to wait for his fellow medicine cats before speaking to Starclan. "Where could they be?" He mewed grumpily, the sound echoing over and over. Could they be...Could they be... They be... Be... Be... The medicine cat sighed. He had waited just outside of the Cave of the Stars for as long as he could, wishing that the other medicine cats would arrive sooner than later. He had been hungry, cold and grumpy, so he decided to head into the Cave by himself and wait for the others to arrive in the sheltered, sacred spot.

Auroraflight stood outside the Cave of Stars. She had stopped for a minute to catch her breath, for it was a long trek from Shadowclan territory. From there she could hear the rushing water of the Moonfall. It made her excited but a little apprehensive, but Starclan was waiting. She stood up, shook out the dirt from her pelt, and started to walk into the cave. Her eye caught on Darkvine, and she immediately padded over to greet him.

Shadowvine flicked his tail in greeting as he turned to face Auroraflight. "Greetings Auroraflight." He meowed. "Have you seen the other medicine cats?" He added, wondering if the healers would arrive soon.

Auroraflight tasted the air. No scent to tell her whether they would be joining them or not. "No," she answered, clearing her throat, "I haven't seen them yet, should we go on without them?"

p e b b l e h e a r t m e d i c i n e c a t--of--t h u n d e r c l a n A small, dainty black-and-brown speckled shape slunk swiftly through the underbrush, leaving the leaves quivering behind her in her trail. The ThunderClan medicine cat was small, no bigger than an apprentice; though she was nearly three summers--or, as the Clans called them, greenleafs--old. She even looked kitteny in her structure--short, stubby legs and a round, wide-eyed face.
But she was fast, even on such short legs. The reason behind the tortoiseshell she-cat's tardiness was leaving camp late, rather than taking her time on the journey to the Cave of Stars. She had to attend to an apprentice and his squealing over a thorn in his paw. Which, of course, should only have taken a whisker-length of time, but apprentices being apprentices, the incident was glorified beyond reasonableness.
She leapt over a heap of smooth gray rocks, her path lit by the silvery white moonlight. Something about the incandescence of the moon fascinated her; the way the magical light glittered on the face of the water. As a kit, she always liked imagining traveling to the moon. What would it be like? Was the moon a place in StarClan? She imagined it as a meeting place, once the moon was full, every cat in StarClan must have gathered on the glowing white orb and watched the four earthly Clans gather in the Cave of Stars.
But now, the orb was split in half, and this wasn't a gathering--it was a medicine cat meeting, and they were here to share tongues with the starry-furred warriors themselves. Pebbleheart's heart fluttered in excitement. This was one of her favorite duties being a medicine cat. She absolutely loved meeting with her warrior ancestors. In the back of her head, she even hoped that someday she might be able to contact her parents somehow, and to solve the mystery behind their murders. But until then, she must attend to receiving prophecies regarding the well-being of her Clan.
She scrabbled down across the rocky terrain until she finally stumbled into the Cave's belly. Suddenly, she was hit by a blast of scents. Two were familiar, the smell of WindClan and ShadowClan. She briefly searched the air for RiverClan, and when finding no trace of it, breathed a sigh of relief, knowing she wasn't the last one there. But the third scent was overwhelming. It faintly resembled the Clans' scents; but mostly it smelled like the majestic stones and stars glittering in the rushing water. StarClan, she thought, breathing in.
"Hello!" she mewed, her little voice sugary and high-pitched, as she trotted further into the cave, "Sorry I'm late!"

Shadowvine flicked his tail. "Thank Starclan you've arrived," He grumbled. "All we need to do is wait for Dawnshadow and we can get to sharing with our ancestors. This place is too cold and wet to stay in for long." Despite the fact that Shadowvine had only recently been made a full medicine cat, he already sounded like an elder. "Did you see her on the way?" He added on, wondering how long they ould have to wait.
