As the two padded across the grassy clearing, Auroraflight gazed into Onyxpaw's golden eyes. In all but a second, her father's tragic death flashed back into memory. "Sorry," she stuttered, befounded, for she had not taken a close look at the small tom's eyes before, "What did you ask again?" Right. He asked what cobwebs were for, mouse-brain. "Cobwebs are used to slow bleeding down." Auroraflight replied, acting as if none of that really happened.

Onyxpaw nodded, understanding. "I didn't know there was a herb for that. Good thing there is!" He giggled, tilting his head back and forth and swishing his tail to the beat of his own tune. "Dun, dundundun, dundundun, dundundunnnnn." He mewed to himself listening to the humming of the wind as it whispered past him. The feeling of the wind through his whiskers made him sneeze. "Achooo!" He shook his head, blinking sheepishly. "Sorry." He mewed in embarrassment, then padded to Auroraflight's side.

Auroraflight giggles, as if she were still an apprentice. They had finally reached a smaller clearing with a single pile of rocks in the middle. "This way," Auroraflight instructed, "this is where I find most of my supplies." She nudged her way through weed until reaching the crevices in the rocks. "Now, we just reach in with out paws, until we have a pawful of the cobwebs." Reaching in without a fear, she pulled out a thick stash of them. "Why don't you give it a try?"

Get it off get it off get it off, GET IT OFF!" He shook his paw around, his eyes screwed up in terror. The spider sunk it's fangs into Onyxpaw's paw, then scrambled away. Onyxpaw whimpered, staring at his bleeding paw. "He bit me." He looked up at Auroraflight whining in pain. "He bit my paw, Auroraflightttttt." He shook his paw back in forth in front of Auroraflight's face.

Onyxpaw whimpered, staring at his bleeding paw. "He bit me." He looked up at Auroraflight whining in pain. "He bit my paw, Auroraflightttttt." He shook his paw back in forth in front of Auroraflight's face.

"Oh great StarClan," Auroraflight teases, "You're so silly! That's just a common black spider. Nothing a few chewed up p raspberry leaves couldn't fix. Let's just get you back to camp." Auroraflight picks the small apprentice up by his scruff, and trots back into ShadowCan camp.
