Dawn

[Lemon]

[shadow=red,left,300]Shadestep quietly rose from his nest. He padded softly out of the den, careful not to wake the other cats, and sat just outside the den. He enjoyed sitting out in the cool air watching the sun rise. This was his time to think and prepare for the day.
Dawn patrol should be getting up soon, he realized. Silvertail and Ravenfeather were to go with him today.[/shadow]

[Hannah / Silver]

Silvertail slowly opened her eyes when she heard Shadestep get up and leave the Warrior's den. She sighed and tiredly got herself to her feet and stretched, yawning widely. Silvertail left the den, carefully maneuvering around the other cats' bodies. When she poked her head from the den, she noticed Shadestep and dipped her head to him, "Morning, Shadestep. Are we still on for the daw-" She had to stop in the middle of her sentence to give in to a large yawn that made her shiver. When she finished, she cleared her throat. "-dawn patrol."

[Lemon]

"Yes," Shadefur nodded, glancing over at her. "Can you wake Ravenfeather up?" He wrapped his tail around his paws.

[Hannah / Silver]

Silvertail shrugged nonchalantly, "Yea, I guess," She turned around and went back into the Warrior's den, searching the cats for Ravenfeather. When she saw her, she picked her way around the other cats to get to her and sat down, "Ravenfeather, come on. Time for the danw patrol," She lightly prodded her a few times.

Thistlepaw was pacing around camp. She had woken up early than usual and been unable to get back to sleep. As most of the other cats were asleep, there wasn't much for her to do and she was boredboredbored. Apprentices couldn't leave camp without their mentors permission, and she wasn't going to sneak out, either.
She heard some of the warriors talking outside the warrior's den. Something about the dawn patrol? That was, it she could ask to go on the dawn patrol, or at least talk to someone.
Thistlepaw padded towards the warriors den. She saw Shadestep sitting outside the den, so she tried to look as respectful as possible. He was the deputy, after all.
"Shadestep," Thistlepaw dipped her head towards him. "Could I go on the dawn patrol?"

"Eh? I guess," Shadestep flicked his tail, not really caring. Silvertail was her mentor after all.

[Hannah / Silver]

Silvertail didn't wait for Ravenfeather's response and went back outside. She nodded to Thistlepaw, "Good morning," She meowed. "Ravenfeather is takin' her sweet time getting up," She grumbled. "So we may be waiting for a while," Silvertail sat down beside Shadestep and Thistlepaw.

"Hmph," Shadestep glared. "I'm going to have a word with her when she gets out here. If she gets out here."

(It's okay. I haven't been posting a lot.)

"How long are we gonna wait for her?" Thistlepaw asked. She tried not to tap her tail in impatience, as she wanted to look respectful if she was going on a patrol with the deputy. If she looked too impatient she might get yelled at, and she didn't want to get yelled at.

(Yeah, as long as the post isn't one sentence long, I think it's all right.)

[Hannah / Silver]

Silvertail shrugged, "I suppose we could get going now," She stood up and glanced at Shadestep. "That is, if Shadestep says it's fine," A bit of irritability clung to her voice as she spoke of the deputy. Silvertail looked at him quizzically and sat down once again, sweeping her tail along the ground a bit.

[Lemon]

"That's fine," Shadestep nodded, quite irritated himself. "I'll speak to her later. For now, let's just get going." He stood up and padded out of the camp.
