Snowfeather twitched her ear in annoyance. She had hoped to have a nice alone time with her clan-mate. Time to bond with new friends was short now-a-days. She would have just ignored the gray tabby who shyly made her way to breakfast, but before she knew it, her deputy Jaystrike was climbing out of the den too. Snowfeather groaned. She just wanted to go hunting with Speckledwhisper. Was that too much to ask? But it didn't end there, Jaystrike wanted them on patrol. Before Snowfeather could retort with some comment about how she wanted to go hunting, Speckledwhisper replied, "Um, we were going to go hunting not patrolling, if you don't mind" Snowfeather smiled. She was glad that was over with. Snowfeather looked up at the stars, which clearly lit their paths. She closed her eyes letting the cool breeze whisk over her fur and whiskers. When she opened her eyes, she saw Speckledwhisper waiting at the entrance. Snowfeather gathered herself, and raced off with her new friend.
The wind combed through her fluffy white fur, which shone in the bright moonlight. She drank in the scents that whisked by her, the air pounding on her face. Blindly they headed for the foggiest part of the territory, Foggy Stream. Suddenly, through the thick cloudy air, she smelled it. She quickly spotted the white rabbit. It was no use stalking and sneaking up on the rabbit, Snowfeather was like a spotlight with her bright white fur. She twitched her tail at Speckledwhisper, to show her she was going to go for the rabbit, and immediately started chase.
The rabbit noticed her instantly, and hopped quickly through the open airy, leading her farther into the fog. Suddenly it stopped, and began to turn. Snowfeather seized the moment, jumping and pouncing on the rabbit, beating it in speed. She noticed the reason for her prey's sudden stop too late, and leaving her prey behind, slipped into the rushing stream.
The cold stabbed her like a million knives. She coughed and spluttered as she was pulled away from shore. She splashed around looking for a hand-hold. water filled her nostrils and throat, choking her. Suddenly her claws scraped at the Earth, she was close to shore! She splashed around for a hold in the dirt, hooking her paws into the shore. She was floating in the stream the water viciously pulling at her, but the earth was strong, and she was able to use her strong fore-legs to pull her back up to shore. Snowfeather shivered, the water covered her like a sheet of ice. She wanted to go get her prey, but she had no energy to pull herself to the location, and collapsed on the spot, hoping Speckledwhisper would find her. Slowly she closed her pale blue eyes, staring at the ice cold and furious water rush past, the sound seeming mysteriously peaceful even though it wanted to pull her to a watery grave only seconds before.

Speckledwhisper padded around the forest fallowing Snowfeather but not keeping up very well. Looking up she spotted a bird, its feathers looked so soft and warm. Once the bird landed on the ground searching for worms Speckledwhisper dashed towards it. Due to the sound of the rushing stream the bird was too late to try to fly away. Speckledwhisper caught the bird just in the nick of time. Giving a swift bite to the neck Speckledwhisper killed the bird. She didn't want to bury the prey, for she was worried that it might mess up the feathers on it. Speckledwhisper plucked off a few feathers that she thought were the best and looked the prettiest and placed them on the roots of a small tree and buried her bird right next to the feathers.
Looking around to find more prey Speckledwhisper noticed a white blob that looked like slushy snow Well it is spring, there still might be some snow left... Padding up to the white slush Speckledwhisper noticed that it wasn't snow that it was her clan mate shivering covered in cold water. Instinctively Speckledwhisper started to lick Snowfeather to help warm her up and to keep her fur dry. Being too cold for a long period of time could be deadly and uncomfortable. Speckledwhisper didn't notice but she thought she herd a soft purr coming from somewhere. It was either her of Snowfeather, but she wasn't worried about that so she didn't pay any mind to it.[/blockquote] Word Count: 260

. Sometimes when you fall into dream world, you feel the warmth of a blazing sun heating up your pelt. You feel no pain and as light as a feather. However, this place Snowfeather was in, was no dream world. She felt her body ache from where she had slammed into rocks, her claws stinging from the strain of her body weight, trying to keep her connected to shore. But most of all, she felt like a block of ice in a rainstorm. Wet, cold, and miserable. The place she was in was nothingness. Her body was floating in a muted black space, with no ground or sky. Almost like her eyes were only closed. But this place was different from most. She could only feel bodily hurts, no wind in her fur, and could hear nothing. Not even the sound of water pounding against rocks, or wind rushing through the long grasses on the moor. There were no smells, not the scent of water or rabbits or rain on the air. Nothing. This place felt like it would last forever, but only lasted for a few seconds, and before her coming back, she saw a flash of red that she was sure was in the shape of three ragged lines. Pale blue eyes flooded with confusion and pain slowly opened, swiveling around looking at the landscape around them, when they caught sight of a grey blur, which slowly came into focus. It took the white she-cat a second, but she realized it was Speckledwhisper, and judging by the dark sky overhead, she hadn't been out took long. Soon a rough tongue was warming her damp belt, and she smiled weakly. A rough whisper of a voice was all Snowfeather could manage, the water had hurt her throat a lot, and so she mewed, "Thank you, Speckledwhisper..." ooc:Word count: 306 how do you like mai table of doom? [/blockquote]
