OOC: This is basically a continuation of the "of plots and plotting" thread
Falcon Fog; Malice remembered this place only to well. The dense shroud of mist had made it seem like the perfect place for her to carry out her secret liaisons with the LeafClan warrior, Redfern. There were many precious memories in this place, of moments stolen from patrols spent with her forbidden love.
This was also the place that held her most painful memory; here was were her own sister, Rowanwind, had pushed Redfern over the cliff to his death. Here was were she had stained the earth with the blood of her clanmates. Here was were the warrior known as Pineheart had died, to be reborn as hatred incarnate, as revenge made flesh; as Malice.
Fresh from a dip in the spring and smelling of nothing but reeds and water, the bengal she-cat set down her burden; the limp form of the RainClan warrior she had killed earlier that day. By now his Clan was sure to be missing him. Here, so close to the border, in a place few CloudClan cats visited so late at night for fear of the treacherous cliffs, was the perfect place to lay the bait for her trap.
And so begins the war between RainClan and CloudClan, she thought with a savage grin before darting off into the thicket. Before long she was gone as if she had never existed, leaving the corpse of the RainClan tom behind.

A golden apprentice darted after a rabbit. She was chasing it and hoped to catch it to please her mentor. Suddenly she caught the scent of a strange cat, and blood. She saw a bengal she-cat dart away and then she saw the dead body of a RainClan cat. She gasped then ran after the she-cat. "Hey you, come back I saw you!" She darted toward the she-cat and almost caught up to her, then she bit the she-cat's tail. "Why did you leave that dead cat on the border?" She stared up at the menacing rogue, shivering in fear.

Malice turned to the apprentice with a snarl. She was lucky it was not one of the warriors, or they would surely have recognized her. She pushed the apprentice to the ground, her claws unsheathed, "Unless you want to end up like that warrior, you will hold your tongue, brat." thinking of a lie swiftly, she went on, "I found that cat there. I did not 'leave it' as you accused me. I knew if you forest fools found me here you would blame me, so I left as quickly as I could."

Goldenpaw was shivering. "N-No I s-saw you leave himmmm...o-or did I No! N-No I didn't I must've been imagining it, I-I'll just go back and not say a w-word. No you know what I was never here, y-yeah never here!" She backed up, never taking her eyes off the scary rogue until she knew she was out of easy striking distance from the rouge then the ginger apprentice turned around and flew away, hoping that the bengal she-cat was not following her. Goldenpaw could picture the rogue holding her down had killing her slowly, laughing insanely while doing it.

For a moment, Malice toyed with the idea of killing the young cat. Then common sense reasserted itself. She would have another body to deal with, and the death of the apprentice would make it clear that CloudClan was not responsible for the death of the RainClan tom. No, she would let the young cat live... for now.
But I'll have to watch her closely, Malice thought. If she gets her courage back, she could ruin everything.... I guess I'll have to make sure she knows I'm watching, and send her friendly reminders of what happens to her if she talks.
The rouge grinned with the malice that she was named for; perhaps leaving the young she-cat alive wouldn't be so bad after all. If she played this little game right, it might even be fun to torment the apprentice.
Dragging her mind back into the present, Malice heard stirring from the RainClan border; thinking fast, she darted silently into a clump of wild mint where her scent would be hidden.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,430,true] | [atrb=background,http://i901.photobucket.com/albums/ac211/NiftyApplestar/applepostmiddle-1.png] Solo hunting patrol, oh they were so gullible. Appleblaze trekked along the lake that bordered part of RainClan territory. Her Clan believed she was hunting; they could be imbecile like sometimes, no wait, all the time. They would never had wanted her to go out alone this close to the borders, after the whole Reedwhisker incident, but she needed time to think. Think alone.
Feeling the cool sand wedge between her paw pads, the waves swishing in and out, in and out, calmed her, it would calm any cat. She sat down closer to the edge of the sand, partly in the grass. Why would Reedwhisker just disappear like this? He wasn’t the type like her, disappearing for a day or two just to get away from the Clan life.
‘Why don’t you just leave the clan?’.
She let out a sigh, Adderheart always pestering her; he wants her out of the clan. Never, she thought.
She remembered his last words he gave to her, “Would you care to join me? It’s just one little hunting patrol.” She got up and trotted to the border of CloudClan. The obvious hypothesis was something bad happened because something bad always happens. She looked off into CloudClan territory, nothing much to see, fog covered everywhere. But yet, she did see a small golden cat chasing a rabbit. She let out a mrrw of amusement.
The cat stopped. Appleblaze watched curiously as the cat shouted something at the bushes. Even CloudClan cat have no sense, she thought crossly. She couldn’t help but sneak forward to hear the cat talking. What’s this, another cat answering? Maybe this CloudClan cat wasn’t as stupid as she thought.
She stalked forward, the fog helping by muffling her strides as she heard the words:
"Unless you want to end up like that warrior, you will hold your tongue, brat.".
The weels churned in her brain. She scented the air; it reeked of CloudClan scent, but a bit more fresh was a rouge scent along with…. blood? And RainClan! Reedwhisker. Oh great StarClan, she thought as she snuck closer to the two cats.
“I found that cat there. I did not 'leave it' as you accused me. I knew if you forest fools found me here you would blame me, so I left as quickly as I could.”.
Yea, and Leafclan loves moors, she thought with great sarcasm. She knew she shouldn’t go and confront the cats alibi, but instinct took over and she threw herself out in clearing where the cats stood.
Stupefied by the idiotic move she made, Appleblaze hissed,
““Then what were you doing in Clans territory, Rogue?””.

Goldenpaw halted. She flew around and looked at the RainClan warrior facing the rogue. "I WAS NEVER HERE I KNOW NOTHING!" She yelled and ran closer to the other clan cat. What was she doing? On CloudClan territory and screeching at this blood-thirsty rogue. she must me suicidal Goldenpaw concluded, but she hated to see a good cat die, this cat couldn't be very happy if she was murdered. The golden apprentice didn't wanna say anything, but she didn't want to stop watching so she just stood there and watched to see what this rogue would to.

Malice snarled softly; if the RainClan warrior had been a few seconds slower- oh well. There was nothing for it. Clearly she was caught, and she wasn't going to be able to bully her way past a fully grown warrior. She emerged from the screen of mint leaves, her bengal pelt bristling. A quick glance told her that this cat was alone, and she was young; barely a warrior. Far to young to recognize the cat who had once been Pineheart. Assuming, of course, that a warrior outside of CloudClan could see past the ragged and unkempt rouge to recognize her.
"I go where I please," she meowed coolly. "And last I checked, this isn't your territory to defend."
Malice glanced at the CloudClan apprentice, an amused smirk flickering over her face. She was oozing so much fear scent it was a wonder that a fox had not stolen upon them. Brave warriors my tail she thought scornfully, you think you rule this forest, but you'll soon find out that when you loose the advantage of numbers, you are no more or less worthy of living in these lands than any other cat.
Turning back to Appleblaze, Malice smirked. "I'll leave you two to sort things out here. This is obviously Clan business, and it's never a good idea for a loner to get tangled up in a Clan conflict." Before either of them had a chance to react, she dove into the thick of the oncoming fog bank, the wet in the air concealing her scent even as the white mist concealed her body.

Goldenpaw was still shivering in fear. Her paws quaked uncontrollably. She tried to conceal her fear in front of the cat, from a different clan, but it was too difficult. She looked up at Appleblaze, her golden eyes were stretched wide. She knew that this cat was a RainClan cat, and she also knew that this cat was on her territory and she should chase this strange cat away. But, Goldenpaw did not feel the need to chase this cat away. She seemed like a relatively good cat, putting her clan before the code, so Goldenpaw assumed that after this was over she would go back and tell her clan, then the murderous rogue would come after this warrior and not Goldenpaw herself. "Just to make myself clear" She meowed in her flighty not-so-clear voice. "I was never here and I didn't see anything that went on today." She turned around and took a step toward her camp then she halted and twisted her head around. "My name is Goldenpaw by the way" Her mew was back to her regular sweet, happy tone. "That rogue told me that if I told anyone about this she'd kill me, I mean I know you could beat her off but not me, well maybe you couldn't I mean she did kill your clan-mate here." As she rambled she gestured her tail toward the dead RainClan cat. "I couldn't beat her she'd tear me inside out before I could lay a claw on her and I don't wanna be inside out for the rest of my life." She looked at her paws. If her mentor were here he would tell her to shut up.

"Excuse me, but what in StarClan's name is going on here?"a hissed echoed from the fog-rich territory of CloudClan, then Jaystrike slipped out of a bank of fog. The deputy looked at Goldenpaw evenly, then at Appleblaze, then spoke calmly yet firmly,"What's this RiverClan cat doing in-" The she-cat cut off, her eyes widening as she started at something on the ground. "Is...is he alive?"she murmured to the two as she stared at the limp form of the warrior, already knowing the answer, but just couldn't believe it. Then, she flickered her gaze between the two she-cats, and got over some of the shock. "What happened here?"Jaystrike asked Goldenpaw in a flat tone, wanting a straight answer.

Goldenpaw's jaws dropped. She looked to where Malice had disappeared, then to Appleblaze, then back at Jaystrike. She wondered if the terrible rogue was watching her every move at that very moment, Goldenpaw imagined herself telling Jaystrike that it was all the rogue and anyone else. Then she saw herself being known as the apprentice that saved the clans from a battle of many deaths. but then she visualized herself, as a warrior, hunting by herself. A shadow stalked Goldenpaw's every move just as if she were a piece of prey, and then when her guard was down: the rogue leaped out and killed her, just as it kills prey, just as it killed Reedwhisker. "IIIIII" She stammered. And backed up. Her mind raced what did it look like from Jaystrike's point of view? Did it look like Appleblaze killed the warrior? D-did it look like she did it?

Then, turned back to Goldenpaw. She didn't know whether or not this puny apprentice would run helpless or stay and coward over the past for much longer.
"I'm leaving Reedwhisker here and going back to my Clanmates to tell them what happened," she took a step forward and leaned over the apprentice, "You best do the same, but without the Reedwhisker part.".
Then, just as she was about to dash for it, pawsteps slipped onto the ground in front of the two cats as a third stepped out of the fog like a ghost.
Jaystrike, Appleblaze had seen this cat at the few gatherings she'd been too. She cursed to herself, as from Jaystrike's mouth questions tumbled from like the waterfall.
As Goldenpaw struggled to answer them, Appleblaze rolled her eyes at the apprentice. She took a step forward to Jaystrike,
"My clanmate was 'found' by a rogue in your territory, supposedly already dead. I was here because of the incident, and no, I didn't take any rabbits.".
Appleblaze didn't want to answer anymore questions. She turned to slip out of the clearing before Jaystike had time to ask stupid questions. She thought, how am I suppose to tell my clanmates about Reedwhisker without causing suspicion between CloudClan and RainClan? She was scared. She didn't want to start a war. Her walking pace quickly turned into a trot, a run as she was scared of what to come..
