Speckledwhisper fluttered her eyes open. It was the middle of the night. Looking around still a bit lost in her dreams, Speckledwhisper was wondering where she was. The cat next to her started grumbling, Speckledwhisper shook her her head only to realize Oh, I'm only in the warriors den. I thought I was still in Leafclan... Speckledwhisper padded out of the warriors den and groped around looking for the fresh kill pile. She may have eyes that should be able to see clearly in the dark, but the fog was thicker than usual today. Once reaching the food she spotted a mouse and grabbed it. The plump mouse was cold from sitting out all night, but it still had a pleasant taste to it. A leaf crunched behind Speckledwhisper. She whipped her head around in fear... Word Count: 145

Snowfeather wished she wasn't on guard. The night was foggy, and any intrusions would be hard to scent or see. Of course, what cat would want to cross their rivers and streams. Snowfeather's mind wandered, thinking of a nice warm nest only a few mouse lengths away. Before she knew it, the sun began to push its way through the thick fog. She sighed in happiness, lifting onto her numb paws, she slowly made her way to her nest. Her snow white paw crunched over a dead leaf. It was at this time she noticed her clan-mate, Speckledwhisper, grabbing an early breakfast. She looked petrified.
Snowfeather laughed. "You look like you've seen a badger!" she looked over her shoulder jokingly, as if one was there, and turned back to her clan-mate. "That food must be cold. Come on, we can go hunting and catch some more fresh-kill." Even though Snowfeather was tired, she thought a run down to the river would warm her up. Looking at her companion questioningly, she wondered if the cat would oblige...

Speckledwhisper sighed, "Yeah I thought everyone was asleep and I was so out of tune with the things around me. I'm sorry!" [/b] Knowing that it wasn't that big of a deal Speckledwhisper still felt rather embarrassed about it. "Yeah sure, that sounds like it would be fun, I have nothing to do anyways"[/b]. Padding aside Snowfeather their fur brushed, the soft pelts brushing in the wind made a gentle whisking sound. The cricket chirps were starting to die down and the birds were beginning to hum their beautiful songs. Speckledwhisper simply adored the melodies that the birds sung, she could listen to them all day long. Starting to enter a daze Speckledwhisper snapped back into reality. "Sorry, I get lost in my own thoughts sometimes..."[/b] The young she-cat was always daydreaming into different worlds she would often times walk into things because her mind was not in this place she called home. Sometimes wondering whether or not these trances meant anything always made Speckledwhisper curious. Speckledwhisper turned to Snowfeather giving her a sign that she was ready to go on the patrol for prey.[/blockquote] Word count: 191

Fogleaf shifted from where she was lying in the warriors' den. Her nest lining was prodding her; it was obviously growing old and brittle. She stood up and prodded the lining with an outstretched forepaw, reminding herself to gather some more bedding in the morning. She stretched and padded out, spotting Snowfeather and Specklewhisper. She gave a curious twitch of her tail at Snowfeather's request to take Specklewhisper hunting, and the gray-tabby she-cat suddenly wished she would have stayed inside. She rushed towards the freshkill pile and looked through it frantically.

From the warriors den, some crunching of a nest echoed along with a shuffling of paws. "Any cat up for a dawn patrol?"Jaystrike asked between licks of her chest, attepting to give herself a morning bath. But then she saw Fogleaf searching the fresh-kill pile, and it made the she-cat cirious. "What are you doing?"the deputy asked the warrior, her head tilted to one side.

Fogleaf lifted her head quickly at Jaystrike's question, a mouse hanging from her jaws. She looked over the the deputy, setting the fresh-kill down. "I'm just getting some breakfast," she said quietly, edging the mouse back to the pile slowly, as if she was afraid of eating before hunting for the Clan.. which she was. She nudged the mouse respectfully back in place and stood up, stretching. "Sorry."

"No, its alright. Just curious to what you were doing,"the she-cat meowed,"And you don't have to be sorry about it." Jaystrike gave her dark pelt a quick shake then look at Snowfeather, then back to Fogleaf. "You two up for a dawn patrol? If not, later on you both can go on a border patrol at sun-high."

Fogleaf gave a small sigh of relief, glad to finally have something to do. She nodded, glancing at Snowfeather. "Sure, I'll come." she said, turning back to face Jaystrike. She turned yet again to re-organize the fresh-kill pile to its previous, neat form, and padded over towards the camp entrance to wait.

Speckledwhisper glanced at the two cats in slight confusion. "Um, we were going to go hunting not patrolling, if you don't mind," [/i] though she was a little frustrated from being interrupted, Speckledwhisper felt a little honored to be invited, though she already had other plans with Snowfeather to go hunt for prey. Her tail brushing on the cool ground Speckledwhisper gave a slight nod to Snowfeather implying that she was ready to go. They were gonna catch so much prey! Speckledwhisper's favorite were the birds because their feathers were so soft and beautiful, they kind of reminded her of the leaves that she collected Maybe I could start a new collection of different bird feathers too![/i] Padding towards the entrance of the camp Speckledwhisper waited for Snowfeather to fallow up behind her...[/blockquote] Word Count: 146 (not including OOC) OOC: BTW your posts are too short, they need to be atleast 100 words according to the rules. You guys are both mods so you should know the rules and be the ones to be fallowing them :/ ALSO continuing the RP in Foggy Stream.

((OOC: In all honesty, I did not know that. I've read the rules several times over since I've joined, and just now read them again. I didn't see anything about that. I'm sorry, though. And I really don't want to sound like a brat today, so sorry if I accidently go off at anyone in posts. I've had a really rough week, and I appreciate you telling me about the 100 word thing now. That should help, thank you.))

Lynxstar approached the group of cats but only seeked out Jaystrike. "Jaystrike," She began. "I would like to patrol at sunset. Please organize a hunting party with me at the head," the muscular tabby she-cat meowed formally. The bright rays of dawn were beginning to shine out onto the cold, wet ground and sent a feeling a warmth through the air. Lynxstar enjoyed mornings like this. Nice and warm. Not too hot, not too cold... Just right. She flicked her tail and trotted off. "You would think a leader would have more to do," she mewed to herself, bored. The stunning brown leader slowly prodded towards the medicine den, eager to hear any news that her medicine cat might have to share with her.
