Name:: Briartooth
Gender:: Tom
Age:: 24 Moons
Clan/ Group:: DarkClan
Postion:: Warrior
Description:: i28.photobucket.com/albums/c236/Shinkoryu14/Dragondance.jpg
Personality:: Briartooth has the disposition of a born mentor. He is unfailingly patient and willing to see the humor in just about any situation. If he has one major fault, however, it's that he avoids authority like the plague. He enjoys helping young cats, but put him in charge of a patrol and he turns into a nervous wreck. His loyalty to his clan is unwavering, and he is not the sort to go looking for friendships across borders. Overall, Briartooth is an excellent warrior, but he will never aspire to any higher rank.
Family:: He had no littermates. His father was a warrior named Darktail. His mother was called Silvermist. His mother died during a greencough epidemic about a moon after Briartooth became an apprentice. Darktail was lost about two seasons after Briartooth became a warrior during a border skirmish with CloudClan.
History:: Briartooth was born into DarkClan during a very intense drought. As result of the shortages of food and water, his two littermates were stillborn. At first the medicine cat wasn't certain this gray and silver tom would survive; he was weak, and his mother wasn't producing enough milk for him. How he lived through his first three moons of life no cat could really say, but it was evident that the young tom had a strong will to survive that would not be denied. The drought finally broke about halfway through his third moon, and at the customary age of six moons he became an apprentice. Tragedy struck then, for an epidemic of greencough claimed the life of his mother, Silvermist. Briarpaw mourned for her, but with the support of his father and his mentor he eventually moved on. His training was mostly uneventful, except for one near-death experience with a fox that left him with a broad scar over his right shoulder. When at last this young tom was granted his warrior name, he had begun to develop a strong bond with his fellow apprentice, a she-cat named Shadowpaw. Unfortunately, the two never got the chance to become mates. Less than a moon after Briartooth became a warrior, Shadowpaw fell over the waterfall to her death. The tom overreacted to this by withdrawing from all of the she-cats and refusing to have any relationship with them that was deeper than simple friendship. Two seasons after he became a warrior, he was faced with another tragedy; the death of his father in a battle over territory with CloudClan.
RolePlay Sample:: Briartooth yawned, his white teeth flashing in the early morning sunlight as he emerged from the warrior's den. The early morning breeze carried with it enticing scents from the fresh-kill pile, but the tom knew he had to ignore them. He was to go on a hunting patrol this morning, and the warrior code forbade any cat to take food before the clan had been fed. He padded towards the entrance where his clanmates who were also on the patrol waited, chuckling at the impatient flicking of their tails.
