Personality::
[ Courageous | Kind | Intelligent | Adventurous ]
Courageous:
--Ever since she was a kit, Whisperwind hasn't been afraid of anything! Even the dark! However, the feeling of hopeless loss and anger does in fact scare Whisperwind because she never wants feel such anger ever again. [See History]
Kind:
--This is what other cat's enjoy most about Whisperwind. Some very snoopy warriors even go as far as wondering why she is still single! However this subject always embarrasses Whisperwind as she is bombarded with these questions quite often.
Because of her soft tongue, this makes Whisperwind good with kits. However, Whisperwind is also popular with the elders. Since she always tried her hardest to make the nicest and driest bedding for them, they'd make her their official bed maker if they had the chance!
Intelligent:
--Picking a cat to be deputy can be difficult if you don't have the right qualities. Whisperwind was shocked to be picked in the first place! She doesn't realize how clever she truly is. As an apprentice Whisperwind was very keen on learning new things fast, much faster than other apprentices. She even came up with a few moves of her own because she got tired of working on the same moves over and over again. However, she isn't stuck up because she can be quite smart.
Adventurous:
--When speaking with the elders, she always manages to hear a story from them about her adventurous kit hood that always seemed to get her in trouble! One time Whisperwind snuck out of the nursery during a thunderstorm and sat in the ran. Ever since that day, Whisperwind loves the rain and enjoys the feel of water in her pelt! Even if others think she's insane.
Other:
--Just because Whisperwind can be quiet spoken doesn't mean she doesn't care about the Warrior Code. She would stick with it until the day she died. However, there was a time where she had to fight the edge to murder her mother's killer in cold blood. But those times have past.
Whisperwind is also rather shy when the mention of a mate or kits comes up. However, despite her her shyness towards the subject, Whisperwind secretly wishes for one.

History::
It had been early morning in Leaf-Fall. The pain-filled calls of the very pregnant she-cat was heard through camp, scaring everyone. Including HawkNose.
It had been a difficult birth for MorningBreeze. The white female didn't think she would survive and when she was on the brink of death she heard the whispers of Starclan telling her to turn back and live on. It was not her time to die yet.
This led MorningBreeze to name her only kit, Whisperkit.
Whisperkit had always been a good kit but also a little curious. While sitting in the safety of her mother's warm milk filled belly, she watched the nursery grow darker and light flash. With her mother sleeping, Whisperkit left the nursery with out permission. Whisperkit was caught sitting out of the nursery with her head held up to the sky in a downpour, not seeming to care. She later caught a cold.
When Whisperkit hit six moons old, she was given the name Whisperpaw. Her mentor was Tallheart. He was a large tom with a gray pelt and white splashes. He was kind and worked well with Whisperpaw when ever she needed extra help on any of her training.
Whisperpaw was a fast learner. However, being the only apprentice at the time she wanted to prove she was good enough to take care of all her responsibilities when no one thought she could -- and she did.
When Whisperpaw was seven and a half moons old, her mentor Tallheart, her mother MorningBreeze and herself came across a couple of rogues that were killing prey across their border. The small patrol fought long and hard for the rogues were very powerful, however, the three warriors won -- but at a cost.
MorningBreeze was badly wounded in the battle and died there and then before Tallheart could get the medicine cat. Whisperpaw's heart was scared for many days because of it.
Whisperpaw became less and less more interested in training to become a warrior. She became depressed and un-kept. Anger built inside her and in time she became short-tempered with everything.
Tallheart knew his apprentice was upset and he worried about her greatly unsure of what to do. He tried his best to be patient with her knowing she was upset over her mothers death but it was difficult.
HawkNose was also devastated over his mates death but seeing his daughter torn apart hurt him worse. The tabby tom and Tallheart began to work out an agreement. The two talked to their leader and getting approval they set to work.
Hawknose took over Whisperpaw's training and began to teach her new things. He told Whisperpaw if she was so angry she needed to take her anger out on something that wasn't the elders or her mentor.
Whisperpaw was confused at what was being suggested. Hawknose told her, he wanted her to hunt, to channel all the negative energy into her hunting.
Whisperpaw did just this and when she caught a mouse, the small apprentice just began to tear up the creature. She wailed loudly as she broke the mouse to bits and when she finally finished she collapsed on the floor and curled up. Hawknose watched all the emotions in his daughter explode and choked on it. When she finally was finished he quickly curled around her, telling her she didn't have to do it again. He laid with her for the rest of the night to comfort her.
At nine moons, Whisperpaw had begun to slowly return to her normal self. She returned to working hard and training as best as she could and cleaning the elders den the right way. However, it was much easier now with new apprentices.
Hawknose and Whisperpaw still went on walks when Whisperpaw seemed upset or needed someone to talk to. She never tore up another mouse like she had done a few moons ago. Tallheart had also returned to training Whisperpaw.
When Whisperpaw was finally ready to become a warrior she felt good. That day was a day of harsh beauty.
Whisperpaw spoke to her father in the morning and the two shared a close bond of love before he left on his dawn patrol.
Whisperpaw became WhisperWind. Her name 'wind' was requested by Hawknose in honor of MorningBreeze.
That day WhisperWind never seen her father again for he mysteriously collapsed and died before returning from his patrol. When hearing the new's the new warrior felt crushed and sick.
Every cat was worried for the health of Whisperwind as they remembered how she reacted when MorningBreeze died, and Hawknose and Whisperwind were extreamly close.
But on the night of her vigil, Whisperwind looked up at the stars angry at Starclan for stealing the life of her father away, but as she stared at the stars she seen a outline of two cats, standing close to one another.
Whisperwind can't explain what she felt when she seen the two cats she felt all anger and rage be relieved of her body.
After mentoring her first apprentice and MidnightStar's deputy dying, Whisperwind was chosen as the next deputy for Thunderclan.
And WhisperWind vowed to be the best deputy Thunderclan would ever have.

The day was beauitful. How? The small fuzzy apprentice couldn't pinpoint why. She just knew it was.
Standing up, Whisperpaw shook the bits of moss from her pelt - sending it all different directions along with her winter coat fur which landed upon the ground and on the other sleeping apprentices. Before they woke up sneezing to Whisperpaw's fur, she left.
As she walked out she paused and raised her head. The sun was just beginning to arise, splashing color across the last bit of night sky. It's light reaching the ground creating a shimmering glow from the wet morning grass and leaves. The scent of new-leaf filled Whisperpaw's pink nose.
"Up so early?"
Turning her head towards the sound of the voice that she knew oh so well, a smile spread on her lips. A light tabby tom walked towards her. Whisperpaw rubbed her head against his shoulder in a greeting.
"Morning HawkNose." She greeted her father respectfully. He leaned down licking the top of her head. "I couldn't sleep. I just felt like I needed to be up."
The tom took a step back from his daughter and smiled.
"Just like your mother." The simple word 'mother' stuck deeply into both of Hawknose and Whisperpaw's hearts. A cord so painful that both cat's eyes glazed over. Both standing there staring into one another's eyes sharing a strong connection.
"HawkNose! Are you going to gossip all morning or come on the Dawn patrol?" The tabby tom raised his head to the sound of the grumpy cat from across camp and turned back to his daughter. "I have to go." He licked the tom of her head and Whisperpaw watched him leave. The pain still stuck in her heart but she let it go. No more sadness and pain. That time has passed.
~~~
It had been nearing the end of the day. The warm sun began to set once more splashing an assortment of colors across the sky as the darkness began to settle in. All cats were enjoying warm prey and fresh-kill when the call of the leader broke out.
"Let all cat's old enough to catch their own prey join here underneath highrock of a clan meeting!"
It didn't take long for all cat's to gather because most were already out in the middle of camp.
Whisperpaw joined after swallowing the last of her mouse. Sitting up she turned her head to the leader. He began out his speech that Whisperpaw soon realized and excitement built in her chest. Suddenly she looked around and felt her face fall as her father was no where to be seen. Not paying attention she noticed all cat's eyes on her.
What happened?!
Suddenly realizing her mistake she looked at her leader who narrowed his eyes in amusement. She seen his tail beckon to step forward where she seen Tallheart, her mentor standing with a smile of pride on his face but a look of worry in his eyes. Suddenly this ceremony didn't seem so wonderful.
Turning back to her leader she looked up wards.
I Sunstar, leader of Thunderclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn.
Whisperpaw, do you promise to uphold the Warrior Code and to protect and defend your clan, even at the cost of your life?
Whisperpaw was shaking but not from excitement. From worry and frustration at her fathers disappearance. Why couldn't this wait until he arrived?! Slowly she opened her mouth.
"I do." Her voice loud and clear despite her worry.
Then by the powers of Starclan, I give you your Warrior name. Whisperpaw from this moment on you will be known as WhisperWind. Starclan honors your bravery, strength and intelligence, and we welcome you as a full warrior of Thundercla-"
The ceremony was never finished. Because before their leader could speak another cat bounded into camp. His eyes were wide in terror.
Whisperwind felt her world spin around at the words that came out of the cat.
"We need a medicine cat! Hawknose just collapsed and isn't waking up! We don't know what's wrong!"
Everything around in Whisperwind's world began to spin as she got up, she stumbled. She didn't hear the gasps or the see the looks other cats gave her. She only felt nothing but a numb cold feeling. And that's when she stumbled forward past the cats and began to run.
The silver tabby ran as fast as she her long muscular legs could take her until she found her father lying on the ground with a few of her clan mates gathered around him with bowed heads.
Whisperwind fell to her father and laid her paw on his, shaking. "N-no..Hawknose? D-Daddy!" She cried, her green eyes lighting in horror as he had already died. She threw her head back and let out a long mourning wail to later bury her head in his cold fur and wept.
Wow! I'm done! I hope this is good.
I used Sunstar as a cat because I didn't want to use Midnightstar, considering he is owned by another person. :3
