Name:: Sparrowflight
Past names: Sparrowkit, Sparrowpaw
Gender:: She-cat (Female)
Age:: 21 moons (>2 years)
Clan/ Group:: ShadowClan
Position:: Warrior
Past positions: Kit, apprentice
Description:: Tortoiseshell she-cat with a white tail-tip and ocean green eyes. Her fur is short but thick, and sometimes fringes out, giving her a slim and lithe appearance. While the average size for a she-cat and holding the obvious figure of a female, Sparrowflight is far from being fragile, and is built with unseemly strong muscles from training. No clear scarring nor body modifications can be seen.
Personality::
Independent, Realist, Stubborn, Loyal, Dominant, Emotional, Survivalist, Trust Issues
Sparrowflight is far from being a dainty she-cat, willing to object to something she does not agree with and always attempts to make things go her way. These measures depend on the situation, but most of the time she will fight over for what she wants. She is not the type of cat to pick and switch sides whenever its convenient, and sticks to the few cats that she trust unless they break their confidence. Ever since she was a kit, it was shown that she rarely followed others that lacked authority, and would not show any ghost of obedience to another who showed weakness. When this happened, she would lead the situation, usually with success, though still need trained experience with leadership skills because of her mind set focused on her emotions. Most of her actions revolve around her feelings towards something, making her choices bias on her emotions. Because of past hardships, Sparrowflight is able to support not only herself, but also a reliable good portion of the Clan thanks to her inner need for survival. But, because of this primitive thinking, she finds it hard to trust others with things unless they rouse her emotions or family members.
Family:: Nightmelody (ShadowClan, mother), Norse (Loner, father. Note: Sparrowflight does not have knowledge of Norse, and does not know the identity of her father),
History::
0-6 Moons
Sparrowflight was born into ShadowClan as Sparrowkit during greenleaf, along with her twin sister Poppykit. Growing up during a warm, healthy season, Sparrowkit had a happy kithood, sometimes exploring outside of the camp when she got old enough to be escorted by her mother or a warrior. While she questioned who her father was, family issues was not a prominent part of her life at this time.
6-18 Moons
Sparrowkit, along with her sister, became apprentices during leafbare, receiving their apprentice names. The twins enjoyed their company more than ever, and mainly relied on each other for support and friendship, only needing one and another. While Sparrowpaw was out on a hunting patrol with a group of warriors along with Poppypaw, and a playful dare was given to Sparrowpaw by her sister; if she was able to catch a fish from the Black Stream, Poppypaw would take over her elder duties for a moon. Accepting the dare, Sparrowpaw attempted to hunt at the river while the warriors were searching for land prey, but lacking knowledge of the fast-flowing water, was easily carried into the stream. Though the warriors heard the chaos, Poppypaw was the only closest cat to save her. Both suffered greencough after the event, but with Sparrowpaw being the first born and stronger, was able to recover, while her twin peacefully left to StarClan in her sleep. Traumatized by situation, she sought comfort in Nightmelody, her mother, though she was equally stunned that her kit was gone. Now seeing no one to rely on, she became reclusive, even to the point where she would not listen to her mentor, skipping training to try to learn things by herself. The Clan saw how affected she was by her sister's death, and the leadership assigned her a new mentor, a senior warrior, Brackenscar. The cat was an experienced tom, and was about as stubborn as the apprentice. Soon, Brackenscar made Sparrowpaw face the facts that Poppypaw was dead, but comforted her by saying that she was now in StarClan, and she would want the living twin to go on to become a warrior. Though still scarred but now a spark burning within her, Sparrowpaw went to every training lesson, helped the elders as often as she could, and completed other apprentice duties with a passion that was rarely seen with others her age. Because of her lessons with Brackenscar, she became a skilled, strong warrior, and could match her prowess even to older cats, especially in hunting. After a couple of moons of intense training, she was able to receive her full name, though it could be a little late compared to others because of the time she mourned for Poppypaw.
19-21 Moons
Now having the skills of a warrior and having the name of one, Sparrowflight is still coping with family issues she is having with her mother, but finds comfort in the daily, hard life of Clan duty.
RolePlay Sample::
The air was ever moving, bringing in the harsh cold as it does every night--it was like any other in ShadowClan. But, Sparrowflight was barely fazed by the wind, her mixed pelt simply fluffing up to protect her body against the usual weather. The she remembered she was out hunting, for a moment forgetting why she was outside of the camp. Though confused about how she forgot such a simple thought, she shook her head and continued through the familiar path, her own paws slipping into the marks made by others so long ago.
With ears trained for any sounds and senses seeking for prey, the huntress soon caught onto the scent of a mouse, and carefully picked her way around until she was confident that she was able to follow it without being detected by the creature. It was soon in her sight, the mouse simply searching out into the pines for any danger... Little did it know that its coming doom was stalking right behind it, claws ready for its reaping... The rush of a sudden movement terrified the mouse, but it moved too late... Claws barely brushed against its trembling body when...
A cat pushed against Sparrowflight once more. "Time to get up, Sparrowflight. Its already mornin'!" The she-cat groaned, turning over so that her back faced the other, mumbling, "Mouse brain... Its not time to get up... It was time to get that mouse." The cat meowed again, this time more playfully. "Too bad dreams can't find the Clan, eh? Its unusual for you to wake up so late... Must be the late hunting you do all the time."
Now stirring, and ignoring most of what the tom said, Sparrowflight raised from her moss bed, flicking off pieces of bedding from her ears. It was a good mouse, too... I have to make up for it when I go out later today.
